About Treetop Child Advocacy CenterA Safe Place for Children to Be Heard

TreeTop Child Advocacy Center provides a safe, supportive environment where children who may have experienced abuse can share their stories in a way that is child-centered, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed. Our team works to ensure that children are heard, believed, and supported throughout the process.

Serving children and families across Clear Creek, Eagle, Lake, and Summit counties, TreeTop coordinates a collaborative response that brings together professionals from law enforcement, child protection, medical services, mental health, and victim advocacy.

Together, we work to protect children, support healing, and help families navigate the path forward.

How Child Advocacy Centers Help

Child Advocacy Centers provide a coordinated, child-centered response when abuse is suspected. At TreeTop, children speak with a trained forensic interviewer in a safe and supportive setting while professionals from multiple agencies work together behind the scenes.

This collaborative approach helps reduce trauma, strengthen investigations, and ensure children and families receive the care and support they need.

Without a Child Advocacy Center, a child may have to share their experience multiple times with different agencies. These conversations might happen in unfamiliar places like police stations or courtrooms, and well-meaning adults may unintentionally ask questions that are confusing or distressing. Child Advocacy Centers were created to change this process and ensure children are supported in a safe, child-focused environment.

OUR VISION

A community where all children and families feel supported, safe, and empowered to pursue justice after experiencing abuse.

OUR MISSION

To support child victims of abuse and their families through intervention, advocacy, and support services.

Our Impact

Each year, TreeTop supports children and families facing incredibly difficult circumstances. Through coordinated care, forensic interviews, advocacy, and referrals to mental health services, we help ensure children receive the support they need to begin healing.

Our Annual Report shares the story of this work—children supported, families empowered, and communities strengthened.

“TreeTop offers care that law enforcement alone cannot provide.”
