Dr. Kathleen ``Kacy`` Cowie is a family physician with a special interest in women and children’s health. She has been a devoted family physician at the Summit Community Care Clinic since 2012 and the Chief Medical Officer since 2017. Dr. Cowie is committed to the mission of the Care Clinic which is providing exceptional, integrated, patient-centered care that is available to all. Her personal mission is to make wellness accessible to all regardless of social barriers.

She is fluent in Spanish and has a passion for providing compassionate medical care at home and abroad, having volunteered on outreach trips in Honduras, Peru, Bolivia, and Guatemala. Dr. Cowie graduated from Loyola Chicago Stritch School of Medicine in 2006 but fell in love with the Colorado Rockies while completing her family medicine residency at St. Anthony Central/North Hospitals in Denver. Prior to joining the Care Clinic in 2012, she provided full-spectrum family medicine including obstetrics and newborn care at Salud Family Health Centers in Commerce City and Platte Valley Hospital in Brighton. In her free time, she loves doing all things outdoors and spending time with her family and golden retrievers.
