Jessie Cermelj

Master of Social Work Intern

My name is Jessica Cermelj, and I’m currently an intern at Treetop Child Advocacy Center while pursuing my Master of Social Work degree with a concentration in clinical mental health. I bring experience from working in both a refugee resettlement center and a community resource center, where I developed a strong commitment to making mental health services accessible and inclusive for all.
Outside of social work, I’ve worked as a river guide and dog sled guide, experiences that have deepened my appreciation for the healing power of nature. In my free time, I enjoy mountain biking, rafting, hiking with my dogs and cross-country skiing. My long-term goal is to integrate outdoor experiences with therapeutic mental health practices, and I’m excited to explore how that vision can take shape at Treetop.

I value being a part of TreeTop because of our collaborative approach to client care and the shared passion among the team for supporting our community and building a better future.

I am proud of our organization's ongoing advocacy efforts to highlight the benefits of TreeTop, as well as our community outreach, including partnerships with schools and collaborations with yoga studios to promote mental health.

My favorite thing about living in Breckenridge is the easy access to trails and the strong sense of community it fosters.
