Bilingual Forensic Interviewer + Family Victim Advocate
She/Her
Hello! My name is Josselin Leiva and I am from El Salvador. I moved to the United States when I was 12, and since then I have created a life here. I am the oldest of three sisters which I love them so much. I have a bachelor's degree in sociology and am currently pursuing a master's degree in international studies. I am passionate about human rights and feminism. I am also a traveler, mostly to the beaches.
The thing that I love the most being part of Treetop is that it's a judgmental-free space for everyone. Everyone shares their stories and has a good conversation with everyone. Laughs are always welcomed to the space!
One of the proudest moments for me while being in Treetop has been to learn how to find a pre-care and post-care for when I work closely with children and interviews. I am happy to say that I was able to find a way to take care of myself while helping other people in my community.
My favorite thing about living in Summit is that I am able to do winter activities. I have always loved the ocean, but the mountains have grown on me since I graduated college. I am still learning how to snowboard, but it has been one of my favorite sports to do with my friends.
