Hello! My name is Maria Niedenfuer and I am the Development + Fundraising Manager for TreeTop Child Advocacy Center. I'm so glad you're here!
Originally from Scranton, Pennsylvania, I moved to Breckenridge over a decade ago to pursue a career working with children and families. With a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary/Early Childhood Education, I have dedicated my time to working in non-profit settings, as my passion lies in helping others.
Outside of work, you'll find me outside, connecting to our mountain community through rock climbing, biking, snowboarding, or hiking around with my dog, Bert.
I love working at TreeTop because I feel that my outreach initiatives truly make a difference in our community. Whether I’m attending networking events, community gatherings, or hosting fundraisers, it brings me joy to share TreeTop’s mission, especially with those who are learning about our work for the first time. This outreach helps grow our circle of support, ultimately allowing us to better serve the children and families who need it most.
My favorite part of living in a mountain town is how accessible nature is to us. I've gained a deep connection to the mountains and am grateful for the opportunities they provide us. With trails outside my backdoor, ski resorts a simple bus ride away, and a community full of like-minded individuals, I could not have asked for a better place to call home. When I first moved here, I was told that, "People come for the winter, but stay for the summer," and it couldn't be truer.
